ZyXEL injects £250,000 more profit into the partner channel with offer on ZyAssure

Promotional scheme on next business-day warranty cover extended indefinitely

ZyXEL Communications UK, a world-class broadband networking company that provides leading Internet solutions for customers ranging from telecommunications service providers, small and medium-sized businesses to home users, is planning to extend its successful offer on ZyAssure next business-day replacement warranty cover, after injecting around £250,000 worth of extra profit potential into the channel over the past nine months.

 

Since the beginning of July 2011, ZyXEL has been giving offering partners ZyAssure cover on its Best Networking solutions range free of charge.  Resellers can then choose to either pass this benefit onto the customer at a discounted rate or as part of an overall package, or to sell the ZyAssure cover on at the normal price and retain the profit. The ZyAssure three-year, next business-day replacement warranty is normally offered to customers for around £75. More than 3000 claims have for free ZyAssure cover now been made by resellers, amounting to almost a quarter of a million pounds worth of additional profit potential for channel partners.

 

Initially, ZyXEL had planned to run the scheme as a promotional initiative for the third quarter of 2011. But it proved so popular that the company decided to extend the offer into Q4 and then to the first quarter of 2012. It has now decided to keep it in place indefinitely, enabling its reseller partners to maintain the competitive advantage the offer gives them in the SME market.

 

Antony Byford, Head of Channel, UK and Ireland for ZyXEL, says: “The ZyAssure offer has been a tremendous success, both in terms of helping resellers to make additional profits on sales of our best-selling products and bidding for new business. It has given them added flexibility and means they can offer more value to customers in competitive situations. It made a real difference to our partners and that’s why we have now decided to extend it indefinitely.”
