ZyXEL puts added focus on growing security sales with e92plus

ZyXEL Communications, a leading supplier of networking and communications solutions, has appointed award winning VAD e92plus as a distributor, putting added emphasis on forging new relationships with specialist partners and growing its sales of security and networking solutions.

 

The appointment will help ZyXEL to meet the increasing demand from VARs for specialist service and support on ZyXEL’s security appliances and solutions. The primary focus for e92plus will be on the company’s recently-launched ZyWALL series of VPN firewall appliances and the company’s popular Unified Security Gateway (USG) line-up of unified threat management devices as well. The wireless and switching solutions will also complement e92plus’ growing wireless portfolio, meaning ZyXEL help e92plus provide a comprehensive solution for network infrastructure projects.

 

With a strong focus on security, e92plus adds a new dimension to ZyXEL’s UK channel engagement, says Antony Byford, Head of Channel, UK and Ireland for ZyXEL. “This is a positive appointment that enables us to reach out further into the specialist security reseller market. According to IDC's EMEA Quarterly Security Appliance Tracker, 3Q12 sales of UTM appliances increased by 37.7% year-on-year and represented 45.3% of the total market revenue. ZyXEL has experienced strong sales of its security appliances over the past year and is looking to drive a further increase in 2014, says Byford. “We believe we have a good opportunity in the security segment. ZyXEL’s reputation as an end-to-end provider of networking and security solutions is growing and e92plus will help us reach out to a new segment of the channel and continue our growth.”

 

ZyXEL is currently running a trade-in promotion on its new ZyWALL 110, 310 and 1100 VPN Firewalls, which deliver the higher throughput needed to support increasingly demanding remote connectivity needs. Resellers can offer up to 30% off when customers trade-in an old ZyWALL USG or competitive security appliance. There is no limit on the number of devices that can be traded-in, so end-user customers with several appliances can make significant savings.
