The Zyxel products provide faster FTTx transformation and perfectly boost the next-generation multi-service offerings as well as revenues for carriers and service providers. The FSG2200HNU has won a leading end-to-end Gigabit Fiber project in the BNL region, and the success indicates that Zyxel's comprehensive FTTx solutions have been recognized by the world's leading telco operators and service providers.
To date, the FSG2200HNU has received many awards and recognition for its new design concepts. The awards include the 2009 InfoVision Award finalist, the 2010 Golden Pin Design Mark in Taiwan and the 2010 Taiwan Excellent Award.
Deployed in fiber-ready residential buildings, the modular design of FSG2200HNU can be fitted with a fiber tray unit (FTU1000/2000) that satisfies FTTH environment requirements as a CPE part to provide a variety of applications through fiber links such as CATV services. With the Fiber Tray design, it's capable of delivering HD (High-Definition) digital television signals to users' televisions.
Internet service providers may offer the service by installing an IAD (Internet Access Device) with a simple click on the FTU to transform the signals into the 1000 Mbps (1 Gbps) digital format delivered to the subscribers. With the device, bandwidth-driven applications like HD IPTV, IP surveillance, tele-medical, distance learning and video telephony can be easily commissioned.
The FSG2200HNU is a multi-service Internet access device providing future-proof bandwidth for differentiated services. Featured a four-port Gigabit 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet switch and high-performance 11n wireless coverage, it allows users to enjoy more Internet service access at higher speeds.
The dual fiber-in design gives consumers demanding three major services (on-demand video, Internet services and cable TV) the freedom to choose different service providers (Telco, Cable TV operators) for their own convenience, and this also allows service providers to operate independently or in allies. With such installations, cost can be lowered substantially and customer service quality can be improved to minimize service disruptions.
